Hotels near Khao Yai National Park: where to stay for early starts
Wildlife is most active at dawn, and staying near the entrance gives you the best hours in the forest.

The park opens at 6 am, and the first hour is often the easiest time to see wildlife: deer on the grassland, hornbills in the fig trees and sometimes elephants by the road. A stay close to the gate is worth more than you might think.
Why location matters
From the Pak Chong entrance it is still a fair drive inside the park to the main sights such as the visitor centre and Haew Suwat Waterfall. A hotel far from the gate means a much earlier alarm. Staying around Mu Si or on upper Thanarat Road cuts the journey considerably.
